I’ve been really tired lately so to offset that I have been ingesting a large amount of caffeine. This has ultimately resulted in a sort of self induced zombie like daze. I feel kind of like Frankenstein’s monster being prodded to do daily tasks through giant bolts of spontaneous energy. If you can’t tell by now, it’s Friday…
Another week done and it has been a pretty stressful one. Painting should be done tomorrow and then we have to worry about replacing a sink and two faucets – I’ve never really done any plumbing work. Then we want to do the flooring in our kitchen, hall, and half bath; I have never tackled flooring either. I’ve been chatting back and forth with Jeff this past week and it has brought up a lot of good memories. I think as you get older, time seems to go by faster because you only remember the good stuff. There is a lot of non-memorable stuff in my life and I think it is a good goal to try to make even the mundane memorable by making the best of everything.
I made plans to watch the Ranger’s season opener with Tom on the 2nd so that should be good. Boo to Comcast to revert all our non-broadcast cable channels to digital only so we no longer receive MSG or YES – the only things really keeping me watch TV these days. I guess watching The Simpsons on Sunday nights is all the TV I will be watching in the future. PBS needs to bring America’s Test Kitchen back to M-F 12:30-1PM so I can watch it during lunch. I really miss that show. I hope they are just taping a new season and it hasn’t been cancelled or something. I miss Ciao Italia too.
Only two more venomhide ravasaur teeth left until we get our mounts with the Horde DK’s! It is so much easier to get than the Winterspring Frostsaber it’s not funny. Almost worth rolling a Horde toon, getting the ravasaur mount, then doing a paid faction change to get the frostsaber – almost. Been playing with Tiguan and Naturia the last couple of nights, got them up to almost 40. I say almost because they are literally like 10k XP from 40 – so close to both of them being able to wear mail (Tiguan is a shammy and Naturia is a hunter) and epic ground mounts. They are out of rested so we will go back to Elemefehoh and Idonea probably this weekend. Tonight is hopefully a FoF night with Kimberly and Kevan – missed playing last Friday.
New lens is supposed to be here Monday, have I mentioned that I was excited to get it yet? Damn thing has been stuck in Secaucus, NJ since 3:46AM on 9/22; UPS what are you doing? I might be making a trip up to Bushkill falls next week with two co-workers if it comes in on time. Hopefully the leaves will be more colorful then because they seem to be just turning brown and falling off around here – starting to anyway. Awesome skies on the ride in to work this morning! I really hate not having a working camera.
I think in the post or two below I mention buying some fine brews. Went to Uno’s on Wednesday night and I’m really surprised and excited over their beer list. I had a Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA and some ESB. The DH rocked but I should have had the ESB first because it seemed so weak without all the hops. Definitely enjoyed both and got my taste buds whetted for a trip to Joe Canal’s.

GT 5 is planned for releasing in Japan for 3/10. That would put it here no later than 6/10. I guess that will get me to buy a PS3.

Hopefully it will settle down next week. Been playing WoW with Sara, got Altea & Deamonraiser up to 50 the other day so now I can start making some decent bags for all the alts on farstriders. 5 Venomhide teeth left for our DK’s on Suramar so we should have those mounts by Saturday. Working on Tiguan and Naturia who were left behind; got 2 levels last night – up to 38. New patch rolled out yesterday so loggin in took 15 minutes yesteday and of course all my addons are now out of date so I will be trying to update those soon. Have I mentioned that I can’t wait for my lens to come in? Scheduled for the 28th. Wow, 28th? Spetember is flying by…already fall…coming time for the annual fine brew fest where I go out and buy a couple 6 packs of really good beer, chill out in front of the first fire of the season with some books that need to be read. Wow – I sound really old 
Brew fest to anyone else my age is probably finish a 30-pack in a weekend…
The fun never stops
So busy weekend – got a haircut, estimators came for flooring (too $$$ boo), spent the rest of the day Saturday with Sara’s family for the new year. Sunday woke up, cleaned up for the painters which will be here thru Wednesday all day until dinner. Went out to the Olive Garden with Sara’s family. For lunch Sara and I made Cornish Hens with couscous, craisin, toasted almond, and shallot stuffing. It was awesome! Had a balsamic vinegar glaze. Probably the fanciest lunch I’ve had in a long time! It was supposed to be dinner but plans were changed. My lens is supposed to ship on Wednesday and I’m really excited to get it. Brewfest started in WoW which is always a good time. Got Altea & Daemonraiser up to 49…one more level and I can get to 375 in tailoring and enchanting! I hate Mafia Wars on facebook… no matter what I do, I keep getting ganked. Some weapons stack, some don’t…argh! /rambleoff

Ah, work is busy since one of my co-workers is on vacation. Not too bad though. Car show today at work was nice and the BBQ was good, glad the weather held out. I noticed that I have blocked more spam comments then visits to my blog…multi-post spammers I guess. Sara is sick and stayed home the last two days – bad cold. I tell her its swine flu, which she doesn’t appreciate. Hopefully she will feel better by this weekend since we will be busy. We’ve been playing a bit of WoW lately. Trying to get venomhide ravasaur mounts with some DK’s, got flying mounts with Elemefehoh & Idonea, and tonight hopefully we will do deadmines with our Fellowship of Four group with Kimberly & Kevan. My old Canon died while on vacation at LBI so I ordered a new Nikon D90. I am really excited to finally get a serious camera. I also ordered a 18-200 lens but Nikon seems to be messing around with these by releasing a new but almost identical model. The problem is no one has any more of the old ones because they were stopped being made and the new ones aren’t released yet. I also ordered DxO Optics Pro for RAW conversion. It’s been a while since I’ve posted; a long while.
I’m doing well and apologize for not updating…ever.
I will try to keep this more updated in the future, even if it is just mindless dribble.
Unfortunately some of it will be politics which I made a conscience decision a while ago not post on, but then I just stopped posting anything. Also expect to see some Rangers commentary, stuff the bothers me and stuff I find funny, WoW stuff, and anything else.
